Zelensky reported that Ukraine had gathered and submitted information about all Russian breaches of the energy ceasefire, daily, and requested that the US impose sanctions on the nation to pressure them to follow the rules.

He said, that the United States, which is brokering a ceasefire between the two warring nations, is slowly beginning to understand that Russia is not playing by the rules of the energy ceasefire between the two. On Monday, Zelensky had also alleged that Russia had committed 183,000 war crimes in some occupied territories of Ukraine, as they started their invasion in 2022. Russian President Putin had earlier this month declined a US offer of an unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine and demanded new Ukrainian leadership, as opposed to Zelensky.
Energy ceasefire violations
Before reaching an agreement on an unconditional ceasefire, Ukraine and Russia have both made accusations against each other over the breach o energy ceasefire between them. Ukraine and Russia had previously agreed to desist from shelling energy facilities, although they did not sign a formal agreement.
US Role in brokering ceasefire
Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday that the list of Ukraine's violations had been transmitted to US national security advisor Mike Waltz and secretary of state Marco Rubio. Zelensky also accused Russia of violating the energy ceasefire by shelling the nation's power plants, which had left them with no supply for hours. He further said that the US had been informed of this on a daily basis and demanded a "strong demonstration" of pressure on Russia.
