"Hunter Biden has been given Secret Service protection for a very long period of time, all at the expense of the United States Taxpayer," Trump stated in a post on Truth Social.

"Please note that, effective today, Hunter Biden will no longer be provided Secret Service protection. Similarly, Ashley Biden with 13 agents will be removed from the list," Trump continued.

Trump's tweet was hours after Trump had been asked by a reporter whether he was aware of Hunter Biden's Secret Service detail. Trump replied that he did not know but would investigate.
