Pakistani scholar Mufti Shah Mir, alleged ISI collaborator in Jadhav case, shot dead by unknown gunmen
Muslim scholar Mufti Shah Mir was gunned down by unidentified assailants when he emerged from mosque after prayers in Turbat, Balochistan.Mir was targeted as he emerged from Mosque after prayers.

New Delhi: Mufti Shah Mir, who is a known Muslim scholar alleged to have assisted Pakistan 's ISI in kidnapping Kulbhushan Jadhav from Iran, was killed by unidentified gun-wielding attackers in Turbat, Balochistan. Preliminary reports said Mufti Shah Mir had exited the mosque after performing prayers when the armed attackers opened fire. He received critical injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he subsequently died from his injuries. It is believed that Mufti Shah Mir had intimate associations with Pakistan's Islamic fundamentalist political party JIU.

Mir, who was a closed associate of Pakistan's ISI, was heavily engaged in numerous illegal activities such as drug and weapon smuggling. Shah Mir used to make regular visits to terror camps in Pakistan and was also engaged in assisting terrorists who were infiltrating into India. Mir was also active in Afghanistan with regard to gathering intelligence for Pakistani armed forces. More particularly, Mufti Shah Mir was tasked with collecting information on insurgent outfits in areas of Pakistan's illegal occupation and the manner in which they were plotting their independence.
Who is Kulbhushan Jadhav?
Kulbhushan Jadhav is a retired Indian Navy commander born on April 16, 1970, in Sangli, Maharashtra. His father Sudhir Jadhav was a retired Mumbai Police officer. Jadhav married and has two children. His family resides in Mumbai.Jadhav was arrested by ISI from Iran and brought to Pakistan illegally where he was tortured into admitting all kinds of things.But Pakistan claimed that Jadhav had crossed Iran's Chabahar in 2003 on a forged passport and under the name Hussain Mubarak Patel. It made unsubstantiated charges against Jadhav claiming that his mission was to destabilize Balochistan and Karachi by consolidating the separatist movements after which he was apprehended on March 3, 2016 from Balochistan.

But India discredited all these charges made by Pakistan and stated that Jadhav had been abducted from Iran where he had a business.India shattered Pakistan's lies and stated that Kulbhushan Jadhav had his business in Iran's port city Chahahar after his 'premature retirement' from the Navy.When India went to International Court of Justice to obtain Jadhav's release. After Pakistan wrongly accused Jadhav in a spy case on behalf of India's intelligence agencies and sentenced him to death.
Pakistani courts to suspend the execution of Jadhav
India brought the issue vehemently and approached the International Court of Justice (ICJ) that directed Pakistani courts to suspend the execution of Jadhav.Pakistan remained the execution after ICJ's judgment on July 17, 2019. The international court also directed Pakistan to reconsider the whole process of his trial and grant India consular access.
