World News: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported the successful destruction of 500 operational Hezbollah infrastructures in southern Lebanon, targeting underground facilities and neutralizing numerous enemy combatants. In addition, the IDF eliminated several tunnels and more than 100 weapons caches, significantly degrading Hezbollah’s operational capabilities in the region.
The IDF’s 36th "Ga'ash" Division, including combat teams from the Golani Infantry Brigade, Etzioni Infantry Brigade (Res.), 188th Armoured Brigade, and 282nd Artillery Brigade, have been at the forefront of this operation. They are working alongside elite units such as the Oketz "Sting" Canine Unit and the Yahalom (Diamond) Combat Engineers Special Forces Unit.
Hezbollah situation
Among the notable victories, forces of the Golani Brigade eliminated Hezbollah's commander of the Maroun El Ras area, crippling the group’s rocket launch and raid capabilities. The 188th Armoured Brigade dealt a significant blow by destroying Hezbollah’s central command headquarters in the Yaroun area, an essential hub for their terrorist operations.
Meanwhile, the Etzioni Brigade dismantled dozens of underground Hezbollah infrastructures and raided nature reserves used by the terror group under the guise of the environmental organization "Green Without Borders." The 282nd Artillery Brigade played a critical role by providing artillery support for the ground forces, while the Air Force assisted in the destruction of Hezbollah’s infrastructure and rocket launch sites.
