World News: On Monday, the Israeli military launched one of its most intense airstrike campaigns in nearly a year, targeting 300 locations in Lebanon in response to ongoing conflict with the Hezbollah militant group. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that the attacks resulted in the deaths of 100 individuals, with over 400 others injured, marking the deadliest day in Lebanon since the onset of hostilities in October.

The Health Ministry stated, “Enemy raids on southern towns and villages since this morning… killed 100 and injured more than 400,” highlighting that the casualties included “children, women, and paramedics.” Before this escalation, approximately 600 people had lost their lives in Lebanon since the conflict erupted, primarily fighters but also over 100 civilians.

Israeli tropps rain down fire 

The Israeli army announced its operations via social media, featuring a photo of military chief Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi approving the strikes. Israeli leaders have promised more severe actions against Hezbollah in the upcoming days. In retaliation, Hezbollah confirmed it had fired numerous rockets at an Israeli military post in Galilee and targeted facilities of the Rafael defense firm in Haifa.
