China finds itself snared in Its own web as Jinping's ambitious BRI project suffers a major setback

First trapped poor countries around the world by giving them loans, then made arbitrary deals with them to serve their own interests. China, which did this, has now suffered a big shock. There have been allegations of corruption on the Chinese President's dream project, BRI, i.e., the Belt Road Initiative. For this reason, this project will be reviewed by the anti-corruption body.

With the help of this project, China has invested billions of dollars in many countries around the world. Many countries even went bankrupt while repaying their loans. Colombo is the biggest example of this. Now Pakistan is also on the same path. 

According to the news in the Hong Kong newspaper South China Morning Post, reviewing this project will be one of the main priorities of the ruling Communist Party. In the newspaper of the Chinese government, emphasis has been laid on eliminating the allegations of corruption in the BRI project, monitoring it and promoting its development. 

The 2024 report released by China's Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) states that the organization will take action at the foreign and domestic levels this year. Apart from this, he will also try to bring transparency to China's ambitious project. 

Jinping's dream project 

The BRI project is the dream project of Chinese President Xi Jinping. It was launched in 2013 to spread China's global influence across the world. This also increased China's influence significantly. However, many countries are groaning under the cover of this project. Many countries, from Africa to Sri Lanka, have been forced to give part of their real estate to Beijing.
