Amidst the months-long war between Israel and Hamas, US President Joe Biden has made a big announcement. Biden said that Washington will provide aid and ready-to-eat packets to the people of Gaza via air route within a few days. He said these things during talks with Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni on Friday.

More on the matter

Biden on Thursday expressed grief over the death of hundreds of people who lost their lives in Israeli firing. He said that it is regrettable that people are losing their lives while waiting for help to support their families. Biden called this incident a sad and worrying tragedy. During the war in Gaza, countless families are suffering from severe shortages of their basic needs. In view of this, America, along with its allies, has decided to intensify efforts to provide humanitarian aid to Gazans. Biden said that, along with Jordan, America and other allied countries, humanitarian aid will be delivered to the people of Gaza through airdrops.

The American role!

According to the report, America has appealed to Israel to send maximum humanitarian aid through the land route so that the innocent people of Gaza can get maximum relief. Biden has also described the aid received from Gaza as inadequate. He also expressed concern over the continuous deaths of children and innocents in Gaza. Biden said that we will have to increase the scope of help and reach them as soon as possible. The innocent people of Gaza cannot be abandoned like this.

US National Security Advisor John Kirby said that ready-to-eat packets will be dropped by air to the people of Gaza. This route has been chosen to provide help to the people of Gaza and will continue to be used in future also. Dropping aid packets in crowded areas of Gaza is a big challenge but we will overcome it. On Thursday, Israeli forces opened indiscriminate fire on a crowd waiting for aid trucks in North Gaza. More than 100 people were killed in this firing. At the same time, more than 200 people were injured.
