Shreya Ghoshal makes history: First Indian singer to get Madame Tussauds Wax figure

Shreya Ghoshal is the first Indian singer to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds. Her statue was unveiled in Singapore, honoring her contributions to music.

In March 2017, Shreya Ghoshal became the first Indian singer to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds. Her figure was unveiled at the museum's Delhi branch, located in the iconic Regal Building. The statue captures her in a singing pose, celebrating her illustrious career since her debut in 2002 with songs like "Silsila Ye Chahat Ka" and "Bairi Piya" from the film Devdas.

Expressing her excitement, Shreya stated, "I am thrilled to be a part of history here at Madame Tussauds, and it is an honour to be featured among such talented stars, artists, historians and renowned celebrities."

The Delhi branch of Madame Tussauds features over 50 figures from various fields, including history, sports, music, films, and television. Other notable personalities with statues in the museum include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, actors Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, and American pop star Lady Gaga.
