Maharashtra: Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, famous for Shaktimaan and Mahabharat, has strongly condemned YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's controversial remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s show. Criticizing the growing trend of offensive humor, he called for strict measures, stating that unchecked freedom of expression is harming society.

'He should be punished'

In a scathing video on his YouTube channel Bheeshm International, Khanna lashed out at Allahbadia for his vulgar question during the show."This is a serious offence. It should not be taken lightly."Expressing his outrage, he suggested that Allahbadia be publicly shamed for his remarks.

"He should be beaten, his face painted black, and made to tour the country on a donkey."He further emphasized that unchecked freedom of expression is spoiling today's youth."If I were Shaktimaan, I would have thrown him into space."

The question that sparked outrage

Allahbadia, known for Beer Biceps, stirred controversy when he posed an offensive question to a contestant on India’s Got Latest."Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?" His question shocked even host Samay Raina, who reacted with an expletive. The clip quickly went viral, triggering massive backlash.

Following the uproar, Allahbadia issued an apology, admitting that his comment was inappropriate."Comedy is not my forte. I’m sorry," he said in a video statement. However, the damage had already been done. An FIR has been registered against Allahbadia, Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and the show’s producers for allegedly using abusive language. The controversial episode has since been taken down from YouTube.

Parliamentary panel weighs in

As public outrage mounts, a Parliamentary panel on information technology is reportedly discussing whether to summon Allahbadia for questioning. The incident has reignited debates about the limits of humor and the responsibility of content creators
