Shah Rukh shared hosting tips with Kartik, blending Bollywood glamour with Rajasthani traditions, while reflecting on IIFA’s remarkable legacy.
Mumbai: Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Kartik Aaryan took to the platform on Friday night to grace IIFA 2025 pre-event in Mumbai. Also, making it to this precursor event leading to the extravaganza grandeur of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards for the 25th edition are Nora Fatehi and Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari.

Kartik Aaryan has been finalized as a host for IIFA's 25th season, to be held in the beautiful city of Jaipur in Rajasthan on 8th and 9th March. Even at the pre-event, SRK had taught Kartik a trick or two of hosting like any true Rajasthani.
In a light-hearted moment, Shah Rukh taught Kartik how to welcome the audience by using traditional Rajasthani phrases. He asked him to begin with, "Padharo mhare IIFA," which means "Welcome to IIFA." Kartik practiced the line under Shah Rukh and then added, "Padhaaro mhaare des, Rajasthan" (Welcome to my state, Rajasthan). The jodi ended it all with a thumping "Khamma Ghani," the traditional Rajasthani greeting that won the hearts of the audience.

Shah Rukh Khan looked dashing in a black casual blazer, shirt, and pants with a trendy round ear cuff. Kartik Aaryan was dressed to kill in a sharp blue blazer, white shirt, tie, and matching pants. Nora Fatehi was stunning in a black turtleneck under a printed blazer and skirt with a bold red belt. Fans couldn't help but go gaga over SRK's experimental style. "Wow, he looks amazing," read a fan, while another wrote, "This ear cuff suits him well".
Shah Rukh speaks about IIFA's legacy
On IIFA's 25th anniversary, Shah Rukh looked back on the journey of the event. "Some of my most cherished moments are intertwined in the journey of IIFA. To be celebrating its Silver Jubilee in this vibrant city called Jaipur is nothing less than magic. From the first day at the Millennium Dome in London to 25 years of moments that can never be forgotten, IIFA is a legacy that crosses borders," he said.
He added, "To be a part of this exceptional journey is filling me with immense pride and gratitude. I am also eagerly looking forward to reliving the magic and creating new memories with fans in Rajasthan."
IIFA 2025 to be held in Jaipur
This year, the milestone event will be held in the royal city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, marking a remarkable chapter in the history of IIFA. The last year's edition was hosted by Shah Rukh with Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar together in Abu Dhabi.
