Bollywood stars face death threats: Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav among those target
Mumbai: Four major Bollywood celebrities, including Kapil Sharma and Rajpal Yadav, have reportedly received death threats from Pakistan, prompting a police investigation.
In a shocking turn of events, four prominent Bollywood personalities—Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Remo D'Souza, and Sugandha Mishra—have reportedly received death threats allegedly originating from Pakistan. The threats were conveyed through email, prompting the Mumbai police to launch a full investigation into the matter.
Kapil Sharma's Threat and Response
The death threat that was made to Kapil Sharma was delivered via an email that read, "We are monitoring your recent activities and we believe it is important that we bring to your attention a sensitive matter. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to harass you, we urge you to treat this message with utmost seriousness and confidentiality." The email was signed by someone named 'BISHNU.'
The email further stated that the sender had not liked Sharma's show, which is a Salman Khan sponsored event. The threat was taken seriously enough that Rajpal Yadav's wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav filed a police complaint immediately. Amboli Police Station has filed a police case against the threat sent to Rajpal Yadav and his team under Section 351 (3) of the Indian Penal Code, which covers threats of harming someone.
On December 14, 2024, a person using the ID 'Don' emailed Bishnu who claims to be himself, making a threat to kill Kapil Sharma and his team. Police traced the sender's IP address to Pakistan. They are closely working with the government to contact Pakistani authorities and follow up with them. The sender has been warned that in case of non-response within eight hours, it would lead to very serious consequences.
Security Measures and Police Investigation
In response to these threats, the Mumbai police have increased security for Kapil Sharma and his team. The investigation continues, with officers coordinating efforts to trace the origin of the threats and ensure the safety of the Bollywood stars involved.
